*MAPLES AND WHITE SANDS May, June and July bookings require a 25% deposit on booking and are refundable up to 30 days before arrival less a 5% administration fee. August bookings are non refundable and require a 50% deposit on booking. Should some emergency occur where you will not be able to come during those times, we will offer your reservation to someone on our waiting list and should someone accept the offer we will refund you your payment less a 5% administration fee. The balance of your reservation fee is due 30 days before your date of arrival. The Maples and White Sands cabins are now dog friendly. There is an additional fee if travelling with dogs. All of our units are non-smoking, there is a fine for smoking in the unit.
*SORRENTO INN has a 7 day cancellation policy. Inn rooms are pet friendly, there is an additional pet fee if travelling with pets. All of our units are non-smoking, there is a fine for smoking in the unit.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Shuswap Resorts. Listed below are the Resort policies and procedures that apply to all parts of this resort, please read them carefully.
By reading and signing your hotel registration card at check-in or by booking a reservation on our website, you are agreeing to abide by all our hotel policies and procedures and accepting all responsibility for the reservation.
CHECK-IN
Check-in is any time after 4 PM. Guest will be required to present a valid piece of government issued photo ID.
CHECK-OUT
Check-out is at 11 AM. If you require a later check-out, please contact us before 9 am on the day of departure, and we will do our best to accommodate. Early and late check-ins are not guaranteed. Charges will be applicable.
CANCELLATION POLICY
(Sorrento Inn) All hotel room reservations at the Sorrento Inn have a 48-hr cancellation policy. Any changes and cancellations must be made 48-hrs prior 4:00 pm (PST) on the scheduled day of arrival. Cancellations received within the 48-hr period will be marked as a no show and will incur Full Charge to the credit card on file.
( Maples, White sands) All Cabin and Lakehouse reservations at the Maples And White sands have a 30 day cancellation policy. Any changes and cancellations must be made 30 days prior to the scheduled day of arrival. Cancellations received within the 30 day period will be marked as a no show and will incur Full Charge to the credit card on file.
RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
We are living in confusing and something stressful times. That being said, abuse to any of our staff or other resort guests will not be tolerated. At anytime, management reserves the right to refuse service to any guest for any reason that is deemed reasonable.
PET POLICIES
- Pets are allowed at the Sorrento Inn for a price of $25 per Reservation. Pets must be Friendly. Pets must be house trained. Pets must be with owners at all times and cannot be left unattended in Hotel rooms. Pets must be leashed at all times in all public areas of the Resort. Should an owner fail to pick up their pet's waste, a fine of $200 will be charged to the guests credit card.
Should it be determined that excessive disturbance or damages have taken place, the Hotel reserves the right to deduct from the Pet Deposit. The Guest also acknowledges and agrees that the Pet Deposit amount will not limit the right of the Hotel to exercise or pursue any remedy available in law or in equity for breach of this agreement, including, but not limited to, damages on appliances or finishes, furniture, or any other costs or losses resulting from the negligence of the Guest and their Pets.
- We are now dog friendly at the Maples and White Sands Resort! Please be aware there is an extra fee of $50 per reservation per dog to maximum of two dogs per cabin! Maples Heritage House is the exception, no pets of any kind are allowed in Heritage House.
Dogs are not to be left unattended in the cabins for long periods of time! If they must be left in the cabin, please have them crated at all times! Please always have your dog on a leash when outside and ALWAYS pick up after them! There will be a fine of $200 if you are observed not picking up your pet waste.
We ask that your dog be well trained and socialized if you are planning to bring them with you. We are a family friendly site with lots of small children and we want to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. We also have a specific beach designated for our furry guests to use. Look for the sign on the far side of the dock near the boat launch!
We want all of our guests experiences to be enjoyable while staying with us! If your dog barks or howls constantly while left alone in the cabin, you will be asked to board them at our nearby kennel up the road.
*It will be at managements discretion if we feel a dog may not be suitable to this environment and thus will be asked to leave with no refund or be boarded at one of our local kennels for the remainder of your stay.*
SMOKING POLICIES
We are a 100% non-smoking Resort. Smoking is prohibited at all times when inside any Cabin, Lakehouse or hotel rooms.. If smoking has taken place, a fine of $500.00 will be Charged to the guests credit card.
AGE RESTRICTIONS
Guests must be 19 years or older to check in without a parent or legal guardian. A valid government issued photo ID must be presented at the time of check in for age verification.
NO IN-ROOM PARTY POLICY
NO EXCESSIVE PARTYING ALLOWED AT ANY TIME. To ensure the enjoyment and to protect the Resort and our guests, this policy is strictly enforced. In the event of a disturbance one warning will be given to reduce noise. If this warning is not followed, the guest will forfeit all fees and must leave the hotel immediately.
PAYMENT POLICY:
In order for guest accommodations to be confirmed we require a specified deposit at the time of booking, which will be dependent on the time of year, with Full Payment to be made 30 days prior to your stay. At the time of check in all sufficient credit credentials for damage pre-auth must be provided.
When a debit or credit card is presented for authorization, please be advised that a pre-authorization will be taken. Any applicable guest room charges, and taxes will be placed on the authorized credit card.
Accepted Payment Types: Debit, VISA, MasterCard.
If determined that damages have taken place at the Resort by the Guest, the Hotel reserves all right to deduct from the Security Deposit/Pre-Authorization. The Guest also acknowledges and agrees that the Security Deposit amount will not limit the right of the Hotel to exercise or pursue any remedy available in law or in equity for breach of this agreement, including, but not limited to, damages on appliances or finishes, furniture, or any other costs or losses resulting from the negligence of the Guest.
The Guest hereby also agrees that any lost or damaged TV remotes, blow dryers, irons, dishes, cutlery, or anything else which is on the list of provided items in each cabin or hotel room will be replaced at Guest(s) cost and will be deducted. The penalty for lost Items is written on the back of the inventory list in each Hotel room or cabin.
RELEASE
Shuswap Resorts will endeavor to the best of our ability to keep our resort property clean, tidy and Safe for all its guests to enjoy. there are many maintenance areas, Lakefront Property, Hills, Rocks and many other potential risks around the resort. As such, We establish here and now that Shuswap resorts and all its Subsidiaries can not be held accountable for any Damage to your person or property either by accident or intention by our staff or other Guests or visitors of the resort. this Resort is a enjoy at your own risk Resort.
